In Switzerland, in the canton of Valais, in the village of Les Cerniers, at the foot of the Dents-du-Midi mountain range – the beginning of the Swiss Alps. Whitepod is at a 45-minute drive from Montreux or a 1h30 drive from Geneva airport.

It faces the renowned ski resort Villars and stands above the city of Monthey.

Chalet Les Cerniers is at 1250 m (4100ft). The pods and the Pod-house are at 1400 m (4600ft).

The nearest airport is Geneva (GVA). There is a train station directly inside the airport. The closest train station to Whitepod is Monthey. The interregional train takes you to Aigle, than a regional train from Aigle to Monthey. Timetables and prices can found on www.cff.ch.

From Monthey train station (CFF), the bus n° 63 goes all the way up to Les Cerniers. We are located at the final stop «Les Cerniers Restaurant». Count approximately 45 minutes for the bus ride up. (Bus n°63)

Highway A9, exit n°19 Bex – Lavey. Drive direction Monthey. Arriving at the roundabout at entrance of Monthey, follow Choëx. Drive up up up,  follow Les Giettes, Les Cerniers. The chalet Les Cerniers will be on your right when you arrive.

Parking is right in front of the chalet Les Cerniers.

Yes. There is a free parking area in front of the chalet Les Cerniers.

The pods are not right next to the reception. They are located at the pod camp, approximately a 20-minute walk from the reception and parking area. The walk up is fairly easy. Upon check-in, you will be given a backpack, a map, a headlight, snowshoes and walking sticks to help you get to your pod.

All our pods are equipped with fully fitted bathrooms. Our bathrooms have a shower, sink, toilet, hair-dryer, towels and amenities.

The 18 pods are at the heart of our domain which also includes:

• The Restaurant Les Cerniers, our gastronomic restaurant is located near the reception and the parking lot
• The Restaurant La TSIJIRI, an alpine restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious fondue is located in the middle of the pods.
• The Pod-house, in the middle of the pods, which houses the breakfast area, the sauna and massage room and the Scandinavian bath.

Your pet is more than welcome to stay with you – at the rate of CHF 30.- per animal and per stay. 

Each pod has its own pellet stove. Our staff will be there to explain how the stove works. All the bathrooms are heated with an electric heater.

In the winter, due to the heavy snow, your luggage will be brought directly to your pod via our skidoos. However, in the summer we ask you to carry your luggage to your pod directly.

Please note that skidoos are travelling within the camp. They are used by our staff to carry luggage and equipment only. We are doing our best to limit their journey to help preserve the environment.

You will find WiFi at the Pod-house, at the Les Cerniers chalet, in the Deluxe pods and in the Suites. Of course it’s free.

Whitepod resort extends for several miles, therefore, activities are taking place directly on the spot. Your guide will always meet you at the reception.

The sauna & The Swedish Bath is mixed and is right outside the Pod-house. A changing area, lockers, a shower with towels and sun-bath are at your disposal at the Pod House. Open daily form 9am to 9pm upon reservation for 30 minute-session.

If weather conditions are not met (too much snow, no snow, wind, fog) Whitepod is authorized at any time to cancel the activity. Of course the activity will not be charged and we will do everything we can to offer you the best possible alternative.
